The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 15, 1947
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by the Rev. A. R. Kuehn for 
Cassius (Cass) Frank Preston, 83, who died at his home, 427 Rice street, 
Thursday morning.  Interment was in Highland Park cemetery.  His bearers were 
Keith Tanner, Roy Sutton, Guy Micks, Don Ferguson, Les Shellenbarger and Ed 
Barrett.

Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Heilman, Barbara and 
Phyllis, John Vos, Mrs. E. R. Goodwin, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kerr, Mr. and Mrs. 
Lester Bailey, Mrs. Fred Franks, Mrs. Fred Roth, Mrs. Sam Ryder and Mrs. 
Michael Myckowiak, all of Lowell; Mr. and Mrs. William P. Preston, Dolores and 
Norma, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Preston, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Rose and Mr. and Mrs. 
Noble Culy and Rodney of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Loree, Wayne C., June and 
Lillian of Mount Morris, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Loree of Lewiston, Mr. and Mrs. F. 
C. Heilman of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. William DuMond of Holland, Mr. and Mrs. 
Verl Ruthruff of Blanchard, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Newcombe of Munith, Mrs. 
Florence Newcombe of Sheridan, Mrs. G. DeForest of VanDyke, Mrs. Pearl Cole 
and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd McComb of Fenwick.
