Ionia Sentinel-Standard - January 2012

Rose H. Pretzel, 97, of Eaton Rapids, formerly of Belding, went to be with her 
Heavenly Father on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012. Rose was born on Aug. 19, 1914 in Six 
Lakes, the daughter of Elvin and Lydia Nevins Cornell. She married Bernard 
Pretzel in Belding on Aug. 19, 1935 and he preceded her in 1983.

In earlier years she was a nurse's aid at Belding Hospital, she was also a 
member of Shiloh Community Church.

She is loved and survived by her children, Roseanne Ballard of Grand Rapids, 
Janet Pretzel of Eaton Rapids and Bernard Gene (Janet) Pretzel of Potterville; 
10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Rose was also preceded by 
her parents; son, Carl; son-in-law Donald; brothers, Raymond and Cecil; and 
sister, Elsie.

Funeral and Committal services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 at Shiloh 
Community Church, Shiloh with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be 
one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be Rest Haven Memory 
Gardens, Belding.

Memorial contributions may be given to Shiloh Community Church. Funeral care 
has been entrusted with Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
