The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, August 31, 1925


Word wad received late Sunday telling of the death of Mrs. Mary J. Rathburn, 
age 78 years, at Traverse City Sunday evening at 7 o’clock.  Mrs. Rathburn for 
many years resided at 142 West Lincoln avenue.  The body will arrive from 
Traverse City Tuesday morning, and will be taken to the home of her niece, Mrs. 
Jay Haysmer, 445 State street.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Brown, of Ionia township and 
Mrs. Agnes Paul, of Rhinelander, Wis.; her niece, Mrs. Haysmer, and other 
relatives.

Rev. Williams of Cedar Lake will conduct the service.  The time of the funeral 
will be announced later.
