Ionia County News - Thursday, April 23, 1959

Andrew Ryan, 82, died at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning, 
April 16. His body reposed at the Burn's funeral home, Carson City, until time 
for services Saturday morning.

Mr. Ryan was born and raised on a farm west of Hubbardston, and spent all of 
his life there, until September 1948, when illness forced him to leave.

He is survived by one sister, Miss Mary Ryan, who resides at a convalescent 
home in Belding. (She was able to visit the funeral home.)

Funeral services were held from St. John the Baptist Church Saturday  morning. 
Father Fox officiated at the requiem high mass, Interment was in the parish 
cemetery.

Those attending the Ryan funeral from away were his nephew and wife of 
Menominee, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hummel of Lansing, and Miss Marie O'Brien, also 
of Lansing.

Mrs. Pat O'Brien and Mrs. Victor Daily visited Mary Ryan at the convalescent 
home in Belding, Thursday.
