Mrs. Charity Seckstone Dead.

Mrs. Charity Seckstone, aged 84, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant D.
Blackman, last Saturday evening, of apoplexy.  She was a great aunt of Mrs.
Blackman and widow of Stephen Seckstone, and was born in Kent, Eng.  At the age
of 26 she came to America.  Her first trip to Ionia county was made with an ox
team.  She settled in Odessa township and later in Portland on the farm where
she died. Rev. Arthur Trott conducts the funeral services this afternoon at the
house.  Burial in Portland cemetery.
