Shamp, 63, died at 9:45 o’clock Thursday night at her home in Palo after a long illness. She was born April 23, 1874, at Curtisville, Ind. After coming to Michigan she lived in and near Palo for 13 years. She is survived by her husband, Jesse Shamp; two sons, John, of Prairie Creek, and Edward, of Lansing; one daughter, Miss Ruth Shamp, of Portland. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the home of John Shamp at Prairie Creek. Burial will be in the North Plains cemetery. Subsequent Publication: Monday, May 3, 1937 Funeral services for Mrs. Ida G. Shamp, who died at her home in Palo Thursday night, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home of her son, John Shamp, Prairie Creek, with Rev. A. C. Vries of the Evangelical church officiating. Interment was in North Plains cemetery. Bearers were Claud Dickens, Clark Reimer, Oliver Brant, Charles Kling, William Howe and Ellis Bignell. Relatives attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Shamp of Lansing, Miss Ruth Shamp, S. Shamp and William Shamp of Portland.
