Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Mon. July 9, 1973

LAKE ODESSA- Orville Shellenbarger, 79, of 427 Jones, Ionia, and former Lake 
Odessa resident, died Saturday at Blodgett hospital in Grand Rapids after being 
a patient ten days. 

Born October __, 1893 in Odessa township, Ionia County, he was the son of 
Julius and Martha Curtis Shellenbarger. He was a lifelong resident of the area 
and his wife, the former Della Haskill, died 40 years ago.

Surviving are a son, Robert of Chicago, Ill., one step daughter, Mrs. Richard 
Sackett, of Vermontville and eight grandchildren; Services will be at Pickens-
Koops funeral chapel at Lake Odessa Tuesday at 1:30 pm.

Rev. Roy Houghton will officiate and burial will be in Lakeside cemetery. 
Committal services will be at the chapel.
