Death of Mrs. Shetterley.

Mrs. C. W. Shetterley, who lived between Portland and Ionia, died Friday 
morning following a stroke of paralysis.  The funeral was held Sunday afternoon 
and the remains placed at rest in the Portland cemetery.

Mrs. Shetterley had a stroke four years ago and while she has been attending to 
her household duties since that time she has never been well.  She was stricken 
last week while seated at the table.

She was born in Ohio in 1846 and was married there.  In 1871 the couple came to 
Barry county but since 1884 have lived at the farm home where Mrs. Shetterley 
died.

Three children survive her.  They are Grace Almy of Portland, Miss., Bertha 
Shetterley of Detroit and Ozro Shetterley of Sebewa.  She is also survived by 
three sisters and two brothers.
