Rosella Pearl Smith, 63, of Portland passed away peacefully on Nov. 2, 2004 at 
her home following a courageous battle with cancer. 

Rosella was born on August 11, 1941 the daughter of Leland and Lillian (Heinz) 
Cochran. She loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed playing 
cards, and enjoyed spending time in Arizona. 

She was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Cochran.  Surviving family includes 
husband, Joseph Smith of Portland; her father, Leland (Winnie) Cochran; her 
mother, Lillian Cochran; 4 children, Esmond (Debbie) Williams, Edwin (Linda) 
Williams, Tina (Terry) Stalter and Bobbie (friend Jeremy Fedewa) Lott; 6 
brothers and sisters, Eugene ( Michelle) Cochran, Robert (Donna) Cochran, 
Donald (Mary) Cochran, Betty (Bob) Barrons, Mary Lou (Greg) Merica and Fred 
(Janine) Cochran; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and 
nephews. 

Services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.  Contributions may be made to the 
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1421 E. 12 Mile Rd., Building A, Madison Heights, 
Michigan 48071.
