Ionia Sentinel, 19 Apr 2001

Tim R. .Sprague, 44, of Saranac, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2001, after a 
courageous five-year battle with cancer in Grand Rapids.

He was born April 28, 1956, in Ionia, the son of Robert and Jean (Hauter) 
Sprague.  He graduated from Saranac High School in 1974 and Ferris State 
College in 1977.  He was a member of the Morrison Lake Country Club and loved 
to fish and play golf

He is survived by his wife, Linda Sprague of Saranac; his children, Tyler, 
Hayleigh and Myles all at home; grandfather, Clinton Sprague of Ionia; parents, 
Robert and Jean Sprague of Saranac; brothers, Trent (Gloria) Sprague of Byron 
Center and Troy (Karen) Sprague of Lansing; sister, Terri (Doug) Abel of 
Saranac; mother-in-law, Jean Chase of Saranac; brother and sisters-in-law, 
David (Ilene) Chase of Saranac, Thomas (Jackie) Bowen of Saranac, Todd (Donna) 
Haller of Saranac, Russell (Jayne) Chase of Saranac and Carl Chase of Saranac; 
many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Julia Sprague and father-in-law, 
Robert Chase.

Funeral services are 11 a.m., Friday at Saranac Community Church with Rev. Ed 
Noren officiating.  Interment Saranac Cemetery.  Visitation is 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 
and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  Anyone wishing 
may make a memorial contribution to the children’s education fund.
