CALVIN KEITH STANTON

Died October 19, 2026-age 88 of Ionia
Born 1, 1938 in Ferndale, MI., the son of Forest & Laura Mae (McCain) Stanton.
Graduated from Ionia High School in Class of 1956.
Went to Montcalm Community College, received his associate's degree in criminal 
justice.
Married Arlene G. Blundy October 18, 1958 at SS.Peter & Paul Catholic Church, in 
Ionia.,MI.
Worked as a correction officer for many years, retiring as an assigning 
sergeant.
Member of SS.Peter & Paul Catholic Church,catering funeral luncheons for the 
church for 25 years.
Calvin was an avid trapshooter, he loved to bowl, cook and hunt.
He was a fan of the Detroit Tigers & Lions & liked watching classic TV shows.
Survived by his wife, of 68 years, Arlene Stanton, children, Kathleen (Roy) 
Brown Jr.,Teresa Stanton & Brian (Tammy) Stanton Grandchildren, Karissa 
(Michael) Stoecker, Drew (Tara) Brown, Caleen (Jacob) Birce, Brice (Emma 
Cleveland) Brown, Rachel (Dan)Brown, Dr. Cassie Stanton and Robert Stanton, 
Great-grandchildren, Aubree, Emmery, Isle, Dawton, Cambria, Brooklyn, Olivia, 
Lorielle, Mayson, Julianna, Vivienne, Kolsen, Ian, Lorna, Kaylynn, Grace, Caleb, 
and Gavyn.Sister, Linda Russell. sisters-in-law, Marie White, Pat Blundy and 
Joan Blundy.
Preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael "Mickey" Stanton, brothers, Irvin 
Stanton, Ivan Stanton, Alvin Stanton, sister Leila Dolley, sisters and brothers-
in-law, Pearl White, William Blundy, Gerald Blundy, Earl Dolley, Dorothy 
Stanton, Georgia Stanton and Thomas Russell.
Mass of Christian burial will be at SS.Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, 
October 27, at 11:00 a.m.with Fther Tom Brown presiding.
Rite of Committal to follow at Mt.livet Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Monday 4-6 p.m. with a 
Scripture service at 6 p.m..
