Mrs. John Tennant, Ionian’s Daughter Buried in Montcalm

Mrs. John E. Tennant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Kench, of Ionia, and widow
of one of the most prominent attorneys of Montcalm county, died in St Lawrence
hospital, Lansing, last Saturday, following a period of four years of ill health.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Carson City Congregational
church, of which she was a member.  In respect to the bereaved husband, many
members of the Ionia-Montcalm Bar association attended the funeral services. 

Mrs. Tenant is survived by her husband and by one daughter, Margaret.  She also
leaves a number of brothers and sisters as follows: Mrs. Bessie Carr, Lansing,
Albert Kench, Ashley, Charles Kench, Ionia and Forest Kench, of Ohio.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Carson City Cemetery.]
