AGED RESIDENT DIES SUNDAY Mrs. Abigail Tucker Had Resided on Farm Nearly Four Score Years. Saranac, August 29, Ionia county lost another of its pioneers Sunday morning at 8 o'clock by the death of Mrs. Abigail Livermore-Tucker, a resident for nearly 80 years of Boston township. Since the death of her husband 12 years ago, Mrs. Tucker lived at the farm home until ill health caused by a cancer made it impossible for her to stay alone, and last winter her son Newell and his family moved in with her. A few weeks ago she went to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lucinda Courter, in Saranac, where she died. Aug. 10 she observed her eighty-first birthday anniversary, and until the very last she retained her interest in the Congregational church and its auxiliary, The Mite society, the later claiming a great deal of her time. Surviving her are eight children, Mrs. Nina Lake and Mrs. Lucinda Courter, of Saranac; Mrs. Emma VanderHoof, of Sand Lake, and George, Edson, Ernest, John and Newell, of South Boston. She also leaves 27 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. The funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Lucinda Courter at Saranac, and the burial will take place in the South Boston cemetery. Rev. W. L. Halladay will officiate.
