The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, December 16, 1918
Arthur B. Waldron died yesterday morning at the soldiers’ home in Grand Rapids 
at the age of 50 years.  The remains arrived at 8:30 this morning.  A short 
service was held at the Winchell & Stone mortuary, and a grave service at 
North Plains cemetery, Rev. E. E. Branch officiating.  

Mr. Waldron was well known in Ionia, having lived most of his life in Palo.  
He was a Spanish war veteran and during the last few years at the Soldiers’ 
Home has been in very poor health, and was unable to fight the influenza. 

He leaves three brothers, Herbert of Ronald, and Clare and Lawrence of South 
Dakota, and two sisters, Mrs. Kranebell of Connecticut, and Mrs. Louis Sallume
