Walters, age 80, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Young, R-1 Lyons. Mr. Walters lived at 414 E. Ann Street. Born in Byron, Ontario, Canada, June 2, 1884, he had lived in Belding since 1910 when he was married on June 15 that year to Edith Raymer. She died in 1962. Mr. Walters had worked at Belding-Hall Refrigerator Co., Belding Basket Factory and retired from Keeler Brass Co., Grand Rapids. Besides his daughter, Mrs. Young, he leaves one sister, Mrs. Clara Munger, Lambeth, Ontario, Canada; one brother, C. Roy Walters, Pontiac; three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Huffman Funeral home with Elder Claude Fell of Seventh Day Adventist church officiating. Burial was in River Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Young, William Erridge, Fred Kobera, Gerald Spencer, James Hilton and Edward Simott.
