JOSEPH EDWARD WEAVER
Joseph Edward Weaver, 72, of Orleans died early Saturday morning at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital.

He was born April 19, 1901 in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas
Weaver, and was married July 31, 1917 in St. Michaels church at Remus to Sylvia Duso. They had
lived in Ionia 43 years and moved to Long Lake about a year ago.

Mr. Weaver retired from Mitchell-Bentley corporation February 1962 after 42 years 
employment.

He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 
944, and Loyal Order of Moose.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia; four sons, Charles, Joseph and Thomas of Ionia, and
Bernard of Spring Lake; four daughters, Mrs. Norine Zeller of Lansing, Mrs. Gaylord Pline of
Lyons, Ruth Weaver of Ionia; and Mrs. Gerald Keeney of Belding; 15 grandchidren. One
brother, John Weaver of Grand Rapids preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul church with burial
at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 Monday evening at Myers funeral
home.
