Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 8 Apr 1957

Joseph H. White, 77, of Muir, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday in the Sheridan Community
hospital where he had been a patient for about three weeks.  He was born near
Collins July 21, 1879, son of Henry and Lucy White.  White was a retired
carpenter.  He was married to Grace Aldrich, of Collins, December 25, 1905.  She
died in May 1943.  He was married again in June 17, 1946 to Mrs. Bessie Thuma,
of Lansing.

Surviving besides his wife, Bessie are, one brother, Vern of Grand Rapids, eight
step-children, 12 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are to be conducted from the Neller funeral home in Portland
with the Rev. Blanche Neller of the Sheridan Community church officiating. 
Interment will be in Portland cemetery.
