September 24, 1953 ED WILSON DIED SATURDAY Ed Wilson 83, farmer for the past 12 years near Mulliken, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter Mr and Mrs.Fred Gober on Vedder rd., Saturday noon. He had been stay there for the past three weeks. He came from Ontario, Canada with his parents, David and Mary (Jackson) Wilson when about three years of age and had spent most of his life in this area before moving to the farm near Mulliken. His wife Etta Wilson died July 1, 1953 and the couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in November. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Thornton of Ionia, Mrs. Gober and Mrs.Fay (Mabel) Studt, both of Lake Odessa and Mrs.Forrest (Pearl) Roberts of Alma; one son Clifford at home; one brother Robert Wilson of Ionia; one sister Mrs.Roy Wilson of Ionia; one sister Mrs.Roy (Margaret) Carter of Lansing; four grand-children and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 at the Mapes Funeral Home at Sunfield with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Raymond Durkee of Hickory Corners officiated.
