The funeral will be held from the M. E. church, Friday afternoon at two o’clock. Interment will be made in Portland cemetery. Mr. Wood was born in Painesdale, Ohio, July 10, 1855, coming to Portland 46 years ago. He was a single man, never having married, and for some time has been living alone in a small building on the Goodwin farm. After he was discovered in a paralyzed condition he was taken to Lansing where he remained in the hospital until two weeks ago when he was brought to the David home. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. George Goodwin. Mrs. Noah Lindsley of Portland, Mrs. Roxa Brown of Sunfield and Mrs. Clayton Petrie of Sebewa, are cousins.
