Rodney School - Old No. 9 was the 2nd school in Rodney. The school was an abandoned bunk house that was built for lumbermen. It was in continuous use for 70 years

The School used a board fence to keep the children in and the cattle out.

In 1960 the school consolidated with Mecosta. It was vacant for awhile and used as a school for the handicapped.

During the night of 1965 the school burned and a new school was built on the site of the old one.
