Phillip C. Hester
Phillip enlisted in the 2nd Infantry at Homer, Michigan, on February 25, 1864, at the age of 36. He reached the Regiment in April of 1864. He was captured near Petersburg, Virginia, on July 30, 1864. His Muster Out record ends with his capture and his ancestors state that he never returned home and is thought to have died in a Confederate Prison camp.
