Dwight A. Woodbury

Colonel, 4th Michigan Infantry

From Adrian, he was a 36 year old Colonel in the state militia at the outbreak of hostilities. He received his commission as Colonel of the 4th on May 16, 1861. Colonel Woodbury was killed by a gunshot wound to the head while leading his men on July 1, 1862, at the battle of Malvern Hill. He is buried in Adrian.
