MIGenWeb County Coordinator Guidelines

Links

MIGenWeb is a grassroots movement to protect and preserve our family histories for our nation and the generations to come. In doing so, guidelines are necessary for clarifying expectations, both before an individual becomes a volunteer and once they are already in place as a county coordinator.
These are the requirements each MIGenWeb county site must have.
• USGenWeb logo on the home page. See MIGenWeb images.
• A link to USGenWeb on the home page.
• MIGenWeb logo on the home page. See MIGenWeb images.
• A link to MIGenWeb on the home page.
• An email link to the Michigan State Coordinator on the main page. State Coordinator's Name
• The only acceptable way of writing USGenWeb and MIGenWeb is where capital letters are used on the U, S, M, I, G, and W.
• A link to your county's archive page which is a part of the MIGenWeb Archives Project.
• A link to the Offfical Notices on the main page. (Note: This is called About Us on the main MIGenWeb page, but should be Official Notices on county sites.)
• County resources with lists of ways and places people can research that county.
• An email address for people to contact you with questions and comments.

These are recommended for each county site.
