Lumber camp in or near Hume Twp. circa: 1870
I do not have the individuals identified positively but family history says
that one of them was Benjamin Cartwright.  The boy is his nephew also
Benjamin Cartwright, recently arrived from England to be raised by his uncle.

This one was taken at about the same time as the barn raising photo (ca. 1900-1910), possibly the same day.  I found some of the people in this picture in the barn photo, wearing the same clothing.
I think it may have been taken by the train station, which I believe is now a local history museum in Pigeon (note the railroad track

This photo is of a barn raising, most likely in Winsor Twp., ca. 1900-1910.  It was in my grandmother's collection of photos.  Her parents owned a farm on the southeastern corner of Stein and Notter Rds. in Winsor Twp.  I don't know if it's their barn.  It might have been at her uncle Andrew Jaster's farm.

I don't have any names for the baseball players, but I suspect that one (or more) of my grandmother's Jaster cousins are in there.  The photo was taken in 1910 at Miller Studio in Sebewaing.

The above photos were found in a Bible purchased by Joseph Carpenter from the Kinde area at a farm auction in 1920-1930.
There are Carpenter births listed in the back of Bible.    The photos were tin type and from the 1870 circa. Can anyone doing
Carpenter research help identify these people?  If you can help please contact Doug Mills.
