The work of the census enumerators begins June 2. If some people in reply give a list of the diseases they imagine themselves afflicted with, the enumerator's life will be miserable indeed. Huis lot at best is not a happy one. He must exact information from jumbled wiords and stupid talkers, encounter the vinegary female who tells white lies about her age, be worried by children, sampled by watch dogs, and experience the ills of earth, in many forms. Make his task easy, and drop a tear for him as his drooping coat tails disappear through your gate.
