| A great resource for Mecosta County is the Mecosta County Genealogical Society. They have hundreds of binders, files of obituaries as well as old books and other sources (index). MCGS is located in Big Rapids at 424 N. 4th St. From May through September the genealgy room is open for research from 5:00-7:00 on Wednesdays and the second Saturday of the month from 10:00-2:00. The ladies there are very helpful. A must visit! |
