 Lelah Hand. Lelah Hand of Stanwood is in her 80's. She bought this car new and drove it until two years ago, when she parked it in her backyard. She has all the seats in her house and is thinking of getting the car back on the road. "Her car is almost a modern art object. It has a lot of character, just like she has.  (Claude) Guyron Potter born 23 Jan 1908 at Stanwood, Mecosta Co., Michigan. He died 6 Dec 1969 in Antrim County, Michigan. Guyron was the son of Claude E. Potter and Nellie Hopkins. His paternal grandparents were John Grover Potter and Susan Olin. His maternal grandparents were Hiram Hopkins and Jane Sharp. He was my husbands father. This photo was made in the early 1940's.  Sarah Jane Decker My Great grandmother who was married to #1 Leonard Aldrich #2 John S. Denney #3 Hazen Aldrich. Sarah Jane was born 17 aug 1838 in Township of Hope, Northumberland Co., Canada West. She died 2 Jun 1921 in Beaumont, Jefferson Co., Texas. She and Hazen may have moved to Isabella County after their marriage. This is a photo of Sarah taken at age 57 which would be about 1895.  John & Hannah (Marsh) Hewitt This is a picture of my great grand parents, John and Hannah (Marsh) Hewitt. They lived in Big Rapids at 204 Rose Street from 1886 until their deaths. John died in 1896, and Hannah in 1909. They are buried in Highland View Cemetery. They do not have a headstone Submitted by Marjorie Howes |
