FOWLER-Grand Prairie-Kalamazoo. My ggrandfather's name was Samuel Mills FOWLER. I am looking for names/info of his parents & siblings. He was born NY, but moved with parents to MI in late 1840s (early 50s?) to Kalamazoo area. I have a reference to "Grand Prairie"; -which I don't find on today's maps. I believe his parents celebrated their Golden Anniversary in the area so believe they lived there many years. Haven't had luck with US Census or Michigan Land Records CDs (from FTM). Samuel was in Michigan's 3rd Cavalry during Civil War. Can anybody suggest where I can go from here? Thank you!
