AUSTIN, CROWNER, POST posted by Matt Burns on Friday, May 2, 1997
CROWNER -- Seeking the death date/location of Austin CROWNER, who was born in Lansing, Ingham County, in 1874, the son of James Duane & Mary Jane (AUSTIN) CROWNER. He lived primarily in Clinton County, where he was married to Sarah May POST. They were divorced in 1915, after which time the family lost contact with Austin CROWNER. He was last known to be living about 1936. The family thinks he may have lived near Traverse City, Grand Traverse County or E. Tawas, Iosco County. Both counties have been checked for a death record with no result. His death probably occurred about 1936-1950. Some family members think he may have died in the mid-1940's. He also may have been residing on a county "Poor Farm." He is probably buried in an unmarked grave.
