She apparently prior to 1947 returned to Austria with Clare or remarried in Michigan or a neighboring state - we don't know. Any help by anyone locating Clare Slocum will be appreciated. FOOTE posted by Suzanne Frantz on Thursday, July 2, 1998
I am searching for any reference to the FOOTE FAMILY of Western Michigan, particularly MARY S. FOOTE, who married GIBBONS S. DONIHUE (spelling differs) in 1851. While Gibbons was engaged in lumbering and in Muskegon in the 1850 census, a published biography (1883) says Mary was from the Grand Rapids area. Any information on the Foote family, on Mary, or daughter EMMA, born in Grand Rapids about 1855 will be very much appreciated. Thanks! Suzanne Frantz St. Clair, Michigan

KELLY, MORRISEY, MORRISSEY posted by Iral Nelson on Thursday, July 2, 1998
My great great grandmother Catherine Morrisey was widowed in Goderich, Ontario, CA in 1852 and in about 1855 moved with her children to MI. One of her daughters, Margaret, married William James Kelly who went off to the Civil War and never came back. One of their children was Catherine who was my maternal grandmother and was born in MI in about 1861. Catherine Morrisey and the children moved to Iowa in about 1865 and she married a man by the name of Dunn. I would appreciate any evidence of Catherine Morrisey's stay in Michigan and any information on William James Kelly.
